Aspects to Consider in your Massage Chair Purchase

So you want a massage chair but you’re not sure what to look for.  A massage chair is a big purchase and not one to be taken too lightly.  You are right to be reading this and doing whatever pertinent research.  This is going to be short but I’m going to give you an idea of what aspects of a massage chair you should be most concern with.

The massage chair motors are very important.  These things are what power the massage.  Depending on how advanced your chair is, you can control, through the motors, the massage chair focus.  Also, check to see if the motors are quiet or loud.  You don’t want to sit there, getting a massage and trying to relax to the sound of motors.  Another aspect are the nodes and rollers of the massage chair.  These can vary in size and designed to feel like a massage therapist’s hands.  Most massage chairs have a dual or quad roller system with nodes.  Quad rollers are usually better. The rollers and nodes, powered by the massage chair motors are what delivers the shiatsu massage.  Stroke length is another important thing to consider in your massage chair search.  The stroke length is the distance the rollers and nodes move up and down your spine.  This is important because some lower end models of massage chairs have a short stroke length and therefore neglect parts of your back.  The longest and best stroke length for all heights is 30 inches.  If you are short, 27 inches will do though.  Some chairs also have an added feature called Computer Assisted Adjustability.  This is usually only found in high end massage chairs.  The way it works is the massage chair gives you a custom massage by measuring your weight, height and width when you sit in the massage chair.
